In the first phase, 2.54 crore voters will exercise their franchise in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies. The voting process will start at 6 am, which will continue till 6 pm. However, the Election Department has made it clear that all the voters who reach the polling booth campus at the stipulated time of 6 pm will be able to cast their vote even after 6 pm. A total of 2,54,29,610 voters are registered in these voter lists, while the number of voters in these areas in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was 2.32 crore.

Preparations completed for first phase of voting

Voting will be held tomorrow i.e. Friday for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Rajasthan. In the first phase, voting will be held on 12 Lok Sabha constituencies, which include Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur Lok Sabha constituencies. Praveen Gupta said that according to the voter lists published for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the total number of general voters in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies is 2,53,15,541, of which 1,32,89,538 are male, 1,20,25,699 female and 304 third gender voters. Are. Along with these, 1,14,069 service voters from these areas will also exercise their franchise.

Number of voters increased by about 22.5 lakh

According to the Chief Electoral Officer, there are about 7.99 lakh new voters in the age group of 18-19 years in this election, who will vote for the first time. Apart from this, there are a total of 2,51,250 disabled voters in these areas. Gupta said that there were a total of 2,31,79,623 voters during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the 12 Lok Sabha constituencies of the first phase. In this, the number of general voters was 2,30,68,868 and 1.11 lakh were service voters. In the last 5 years, the total number of voters in these areas has increased by about 22.5 lakh.

Praveen Gupta said that the total number of male voters in the first phase Lok Sabha constituencies in 2024 is 1,33,99,914, whereas in 2019 the number of male voters in these Lok Sabha constituencies was 1,22,53,615. Similarly, the number of women voters in 2024 is 1,20,29,392, whereas in 2019 this number was 1,09,25,883. The number of third gender registered voters has increased to 304 as against 125 in 2019. Gupta said that among the 12 Lok Sabha constituencies of the first phase, Jaipur has the highest number of voters at 22,88,793, while Dausa Lok Sabha constituency has the least number of voters at 19,03,520. Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha constituency has the highest number of 8,699 voters above 100 years of age in the state.
